Henllan Conservation Group is a newly formed group, of which I am the chair. We are concerned because bees are dying out in their thousands all over the world. Bees play a major part in pollinating our food. Einstein said that if bees become extinct; humans will be extinct within 4 years. Who knows? This film should answer all your questions about the 'Vanishing Bees'. What is happening? What can we do about it?

The film is suitable for adults & teenagers. If you can't find a baby sitter, come along anyway. We have colouring & word searches available for younger children (in the same room as you are watching the film). You are free to get up to buy refreshments whilst the film is showing, so you could always slip off home if your child is getting bored.

We have a free prize draw for 2 adult tickets to Chester Zoo, a cake stall, refreshments to buy.

Come along, and bring all your friends!

You will also hear a very brief talk about our very exciting 'Henllan Bee Project'. We have a very large budget to spend on increasing habitat and food for pollinating insects in Henllan. Lots of exciting free activities to enjoy over the next few years.

See you all there! Helen.

our next event is planting in the church & institute 10th April 2-4pm.  Families welcome, children require an adult with them to supervise. Bring tools (e.g. trowel, gloves) & watering can if you have them. Hope to see you there, Helen.

Our next event is 'An Introduction to Bee Keeping'. Come in the afternoon, suit up and view a working hive under expert guidance. Return in the evening for a talk by the renowned bee expert, and excellent speaker Geoff Critchley. Meet people to share ownership of a hive, people with land on which you may site a hive, and people who wish to site a hive on your land. A fascinating event for like minded people to meet and enjoy.

Booking is essential, to book / for more info contact the North Wales wildlife Trusts.

Helen.
